On the night of 3rd of June, the transformers serving power to the Kumbalgodu area were switched over to the 220 KB UG line from Bidadi fulfilling a long pending demand for adequate power supply to the area.
Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers along with AEEs from BESCOM & KPTCL were supervising the job of charging the transformer from the new source. Mr. Mehta along with Rahul Kanoria from KIA were also present at the power station till 11:30 PM.
KPTCL has assured that enough power is now being provided to Bescom for the Kengeri, Kumbalgodu area but since the infrastructure in some places is more than 30 years old, power issues may continue for some more time until all the infrastructure is upgraded.
Kumbalgodu Industries Association will continue to monitor the situation and co-ordinate with BESCOM to resolve any issues with power in the Kumbalgodu area.
